What is Lakṣmī–Gaṇeśa Pooja?

Lakshmi-Ganesh pooja worships Goddess Lakshmi, the giver of wealth and prosperity, together with Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. The two are worshipped together because a prosperous start needs both: a clear path and the blessing of abundance.

It is the central pooja of Diwali and is also performed when opening a shop, office or new account book. The pandit performs sankalp, invokes Ganesha first, then Lakshmi, with offerings, mantras and aarti.

When should you perform it?

  • On Diwali evening during the Lakshmi pooja muhurat, usually on the Amavasya pradosh period
  • On Dhanteras, Akshaya Tritiya or Fridays, which are associated with Lakshmi
  • When opening a new shop, office or business, or at the start of a new financial year
  • When moving a business to a new location

What is included

  • Sankalp, Ganesh invocation and Lakshmi pooja with mantras
  • Kalash and chowki sthapana, with guidance on placing the deities
  • Aarti and a short blessing for your home or business
  • A pandit matched to your tradition and language
  • Muhurat guidance for the right date and time
  • A dedicated contact from confirmation to the day itself
