How to Perform Satyanarayan Puja at Home: Complete Step-by-Step Vidhi
Satyanarayan Puja is a devotional rite dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his form as Satyanarayana — embodiment of truth and compassion. It is performed to invite divine blessings for new homes, new ventures, milestones, and to fulfill vows.
Significance of Satyanarayan Puja
The Skanda Purana contains the Satyanarayan Katha — five chapters describing how Lord Vishnu himself prescribed this puja to Narada Muni as the simplest and most powerful way for ordinary people to attain peace, prosperity, and liberation. It can be performed by any Hindu family at home, on any auspicious day, without elaborate preparation.
